AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 6 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend § 1-201, Title 6 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 1-201. General definitions.
(b) Subject to definitions contained in other articles of the Uniform Commercial Code that apply to particular articles or parts thereof:
(27) “Person” means an individual, corporation, business trust, statutory trust, estate, trust, partnership, limited liability company, association, joint venture, government, governmental subdivision, agency, or instrumentality, public corporation, or any other legal or commercial entity.
Section 2. Effective date. This Act takes effect on August 1, 2016.
