SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE OCCUPANT PROTECTIONS SYSTEM SAFETY ACT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
Section 1. Amend § 4803(a), Title 21 of the Delaware Code by deleting the phrase “6 and weighing less than 60 lbs” after the phrase “through the age of” but before the phrase “in a motor vehicle” and inserting in lieu thereof the phrase, “7 and up to and including the weight of 65 lbs”.
Section 2. Amend § 4803(a), Title 21 of the Delaware Code by deleting the phrase “7 or a weight of 60 lbs” after the phrase “attained the age of” but before the phrase “and has not yet attained”, and inserting in lieu thereof the phrase, “8 or a weight in excess of 65 lbs”.
Section 3. Amend § 4803(b)(2), Title 21 of the Delaware Code by striking the word “section” in the last sentence after the phrase “comply with this”, but before the “.”, and substituting in lieu thereof the word “subsection”.
