AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 24 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO PAWNBROKERS AND JUNK DEALERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE (Two-thirds of all members elected to each house thereof concurring therein):
Section 1. Amend §2304(a), Title 24, Delaware Code by adding in the first sentence, after the word “pawnbroker”, the phrase “, scrap metals processor,”, and further by deleting the sentence “There shall be no holding period for scrap metal processors with respect to copper wire, but there shall be an 18 day holding period for gold, silver, and brass.” in its entirety.
Section 2. Amend §2308, Title 24, Delaware Code, by deleting the phrase “$5,000”, and by substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “$10,000”.
