AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
Section 1. Amend § 7915(c), Chapter 79, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by deleting the phrase “2 residents” and replace with “1 aging consumer”.
Section 2. Further Amend § 7915(c), Chapter 79, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by inserting between “State.” and “Eleven” the following sentence:
“There shall also be 4 representatives of public and/or nonprofit agencies that serve aging consumers who may reside anywhere in the State.”.
Section 3. Amend § 7915(d), Chapter 79, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by inserting after “aging consumers,” the phrase “representatives of public and/or nonprofit agencies that serve aging consumers”.
Section 4. Transition provision. This Bill shall become effective upon enactment. As members complete their terms, the revised qualifications shall become effective for new terms. Nothing in this Act shall be deemed to prevent the reappointment of a member who is qualified to serve under this Section.
