AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 16 AND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO PRE-HOSPITAL ADVANCED CARE DIRECTIVES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
Section 1. Amend §9706(h)(2)b., Title 16, Delaware Code by inserting between “worn” and “to” as they appear therein, the following:
“and/or a designation on a person’s driver’s license or state issued identification card pursuant to §2718(c) of Title 21”.
Section 2. Amend §2718(c), Title 21, Delaware Code by adding a new paragraph as follows:
“(5) For the purposes of this subsection “medical condition” shall include the execution of a pre-hospital advanced care directive pursuant to §9706(h) of Title 16.”.
