AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 18 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SURPLUS LINES BROKERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
Section 1. Amend §1912(a), Title 18, Delaware Code by striking said subsection and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"(a) Any person while licensed in this State as a resident or nonresident producer for general lines, which includes all lines of authority defined in Chapter 17 of Title 18 of the Delaware Code except life insurance, variable annuity, and title insurance, who is deemed by the Commissioner to be competent and trustworthy with respect to the handling of surplus lines, may be licensed as a surplus lines broker."
Section 2. Amend §1915(b), Title, 18 Delaware Code by striking the words "not be removed from this State and shall".
