AS AMENDED BY HOUSE AMENDMENT NOS. 1 AND 2
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 11 OF THE DELAWARE STATE CODE RELATING TO OFFENSES AGAINST PERSONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend § 601, Title 11, Delaware Code by inserting at the end of said section the following: "Notwithstanding the above, offensive touching is a Class A misdemeanor when the victim is a law-enforcement officer, ambulance attendant, emergency medical technician, Delaware State Fire Police officer, a correctional officer, a volunteer firefighter or full-time firefighter who is acting in the lawful performance of a duty."
