AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 5, TITLE 19 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO CHILD LABOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section I. Amend §531, Chapter 5, Title 19 of the Delaware Code by striking Subsection (5) of said Section in its entirety and inserting therein the following:
"(5) Violates any of this chapter shall, for the first offense, be fined not less than $200 nor more than $500; for a second offense be fined not less than $500 nor more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than 30 days, or both. Whoever willfully violates this chapter will be fined $2,000 or imprisoned not more than 60 days, or both. A third offense shall be prima facie evidence of a willful violation. All fines collected under this section shall be paid into the State Treasury."
Section 2. Amend §531, Chapter 5, Title 19 of the Delaware Code by adding a new Subsection to read as follows:
"(6) The Department shall administer and enforce this chapter."
