AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 48, TITLE 29, DELAWARE CODE, RELATING TO THE STATE-OPERATED LOTTERY, PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ACTING LOTTERY DIRECTOR.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. Amend §4804, Title 29, Delaware Code, by adding a new subsection (d) to read as follows:
"(d) In the event of death, resignation, temporary incapacity or removal of the Lottery Director and prior to the appointment of his successor, the Governor may appoint an Acting Lottery Director who shall be a person qualified by business experience and training to supervise, on an interim basis, the operation of the State-operated lottery. The Acting Lottery Director shall have all the powers and shall perform all the duties and functions of the Lottery Director during his absence or incapacity or until his successor is duly qualified and appointed."
