AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 11, TITLE 9, DELAWARE CODE, TO PERMIT NEW CASTLE COUNTY TO ESTABLISH GRANT BUDGETS FOR FEDERAL AND STATE GRANT FUNDS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. Amend Chapter 11, Title 9, Delaware Code, by adding thereto the following section:
"§1138. Budgets for grants.
The County Government may accept Federal and State grant funds. The Chief Administrative Officer shall submit to the County Council a budget, which shall not be part of the General Operating Budget or of the Capital Budget, for the. expenditure of each such grant. Approval of such a budget shall constitute an appropriation of the sum specified therein for the purpose indicated. Such appropriation shall be considered valid until the funds are expended. The Chief Administrative Officer under the supervision of the County Executive shall be responsible for the administration of grant budgets."
