AN ACT TO PROVIDE A SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO BE USED FOR SALARY REIMBURSEMENT FOR AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DIVISION OF MENTAL HEALTH.
WHEREAS, Mrs. Virginia Alford's position was reallocated to a lower grade and her salary was reduced in February, 1969; and
WHEREAS, on January 12, 1972 the State Personnel Commission determined that her salary should not have been reduced 'and declared that Mrs. Alford be fully compensated for the period February 1, 1969, through April 9, 1971; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Budget has determined that such reimbursement can only be made by means of a supplementary appropriation because such claims revert to Fiscal Years 1969, 1970 and 1971.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. The sum of four hundred and seventy-four dollars and thirty cents ($474.30) is hereby appropriated to the Department of Health and Social Services, which money shall be paid to Mrs. Virginia Alford, a former employee of the Delaware State Hospital, for salary due her for the period February 1, 1969, through April 9, 1971, for which she has not yet received payment.
Section 2. This Act is a supplementary appropriation act and funds hereby appropriated shall be paid from the General Fund of the State Treasury from moneys not otherwise appropriated.
Section 3. The funds herein appropriated shall be expended only in the manner set forth in Section 1, and any funds appropriated but unexpended by June 30, 1972, shall thereupon revert to the General Fund of the State Treasury.
