CHAPTER 11 - OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES - RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT AGENT, EMIGRANT AGENT
AN ACT TO AMEND AN ACT ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 6 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES," BEING CHAPTER 14, VOLUME 41, LAWS OF DELAWARE, 1937, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES OF EMPLOYMENT AGENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That Section 3. 193. Sec. 159 of Chapter 14, Volume 41, Laws of Delaware, 1937, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out the eleventh paragraph of said Section 3. 193. Sec. 159 relating to Employment Agent, Ten Dollars ($10.00), and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
Employment Agent, Ten Dollars ($10.00). Employment Agent shall include every person engaged, for profit, in the business of hiring laborers or securing positions for other persons to be employed within the limits of the State of Delaware.
Section 2. That Section 3. 193. Sec. 159 of Chapter 14, Volume 41, Laws of Delaware, 1937, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding thereto a new paragraph as follows:
Emigrant Agent, Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00). Emigrant Agent shall include every person engaged in hiring laborers or soliciting emigrants in this State to be employed beyond the limits of this State; provided, however, that no contractor resident in the State of Delaware shall be liable for license as an Emigrant Agent by reason of his employing labor for his own work on contracts to be performed outside the State of Delaware.
