CHAPTER 27 - APPROPRIATION - UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE FOR FOWL TYPHOID RESEARCH
AN ACT APPROPRIATING CERTAIN MONIES TO THE UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE FOR RESEARCH IN FOWL TYPHOID.
WHEREAS, pursuant to a Resolution adopted by the Senate of the 109th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the Governor did appoint a Poultry Committee for the purpose of making a study of the poultry industry in Sussex County and to report their findings and recommendations to the present Session of the General Assembly of the State of Delaware;
AND WHEREAS, said Poultry Committee has made their report and recommended, inter alia, an appropriation for research of Fowl Typhoid;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated to the University of Delaware for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1945 the sum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) and for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1946 the sum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) for the purpose of conducting research of Fowl Typhoid through the Department of Animal and Poultry Industry of the University of Delaware Agricultural Experimental Station:
Section 2. That the said monies so appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer upon warrants drawn by the State Auditor upon vouchers approved, submitted and signed by the proper officers of the University of Delaware.
Section 3. That this Act shall be known as a Supplementary Appropriation Act and the monies hereby appropriated shall be paid out of the General Fund of the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated.
