CHAPTER 69 - STATE SUPPLIES - PROVIDING THAT THE SECRETARY OF STATE MAY CONTRACT FOR SUPPLIES WITHOUT ADVERTISING FOR BIDS IN CERTAIN CASES

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 7 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, RELATING TO STATE SUPPLIES BY PROVIDING THAT THE SECRETARY OF STATE MAY CONTRACT FOR SUPPLIES OR WORK IN CERTAIN CASES WITHOUT ADVERTISING FOR BIDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That 249. Sec. 3 of Chapter 7 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be and the same is hereby amended by adding at the end of said 249. Sec. 3 a new paragraph as follows:

Provided, however, that in cases where the cost of such supplies, work,, stationery, printing and/or binding shall not exceed the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), the Secretary of State, by and with the consent of the State Treasurer and Auditor of Accounts, may enter into contracts on the part of the State with any person, firm or corporation to furnish such supplies or do such work without first advertising and receiving bids therefor.
