CHAPTER 92 - SECRETARY OF STATE - PROVIDING FOR SALARY OF TELEPHONE OPERATOR

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 14 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, RELATING TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE BY PROVIDING FOR A TELEPHONE OPERATOR IN THE STATE HOUSE; BY PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A TELEPHONE OPERATOR BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE AND THE SALARY THEREOF.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That Chapter 14 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out and repealing all of 397. Section 17 thereof and inserting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as 397. Section 17 thereof, as follows:

397. Section 17. Telephone Exchange in State House; Secretary of State to Appoint Operator, Salary:--The Secretary of State is hereby authorized to employ a telephone operator to operate the telephone exchange in the State House at Dover, Delaware, at an annual salary to be fixed by the Secretary of State.

The salary of the telephone operator so employed shall be made in monthly payments by the State Treasurer out of monies not otherwise appropriated, upon approval by the Secretary of State.
