CHAPTER 189 - NEWARK - GRANTING POWER OVER BUILDINGS DEEMED TO BE A FIRE MENACE
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AND EMPOWER "THE COUNCIL OF NEWARK" TO HAVE FULL POWER AND AUTHORITY OVER ANY AND/OR ALL BUILDINGS DEEMED TO BE A FIRE MENACE AND/OR STRUCTURALLY UNSAFE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met (two-thirds of each Branch thereof concurring therein):
SECTION 1. "The Council of Newark" shall have full power and authority to have removed or repaired any building and/or buildings located within the boundaries of the Town of Newark which, whether occupied, left unoccupied or abandoned, create a fire menace and/or are structurally unsafe.
SECTION 2. The said "The Council of Newark" shall have full power and authority to enact any ordinance and/or ordinances providing for the removal and/or repair of any such building and/or buildings.
