CHAPTER 143 - SALARY OF CORONER'S PHYSICIAN AND CHIEF DEPUTY FOR NEW CASTLE COUNTY
AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 49 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, BY PROVIDING FOR INCREASE IN THE SALARIES OF THE CORONER'S PHYSICIAN FOR NEW CASTLE COUNTY AND THE CHIEF DEPUTY CORONER FOR NEW CASTLE COUNTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That 1539 Sec. 21 of Chapter 49 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be amended to read as follows:
1539. Sec. 21. Coroner's Physician in New Castle County; Compensation; How Paid:--A visiting physician, appointed by the Coroner of New Castle County, shall be his physician in case of an inquest, and he shall receive for his services an annual salary of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1200.00), payable in quarterly installments of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) each, by the County Treasurer. Such physician shall not receive for any service rendered by him any sum or sums of money, in addition to his said salary, from any source whatsoever.
Section 2. That 1540 Sec. 22 of Chapter 49 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be amended to read as follows:
1540. Sec. 22. Deputy Coroner for New Castle County:--The Coroner of New Castle County may select and employ one Chief Deputy at an annual salary of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500.00).
