CHAPTER 181 - NEWPORT
AN ACT TO AMEND AN ACT ENTITLED "AN ACT TO REINCORPORATE THE TOWN OF NEWPORT", BEING CHAPTER 195 VOLUME 24, LAWS OF DELAWARE, AS AMENDED, BY CHANGING THE HOUR WHEN APPEALS SHALL BE HEARD' BY THE COMMISSIONERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met (two-thirds of all the members elected to each House thereof concurring therein):
Section 1. That Section 11 of an Act entitled "An Act to Re-incorporate the Town of Newport" being Chapter 195 Volume 24, Laws of Delaware, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out of Section 11 thereof the following sentence:
"The Commissioners shall, between the first and fifteenth days of April, cause a full and complete transcript of said duplicate to be posted in a public place in said town, there to remain for the space of twenty days thereafter for public inspection; and said Commissioners shall, on the Wednesday next after the expiration of the said twenty days, hold a court of appeals, which shall continue open from one o'clock P. M. until seven o'clock P. M. of the said day, when they shall hear and determine appeals from said assessments."
And by inserting in lieu thereof the following:
