CHAPTER 225 - DIVORCE FULL FAITH AND CREDIT TO BE GIVEN DECREES OF FOREIGN COURTS
AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 86 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, RELATING TO DIVORCE, BY PROVIDING THAT FULL FAITH AND CREDIT SHALL BE GIVEN TO DECREE OF DIVORCE BY FOREIGN COURTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That 3525. Sec. 29, of Chapter 86, Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out all of the said Sec. 29 and substituting in lieu thereof the following Section to be known as 3525. Sec. 29:
3525. Sec. 29. Decrees of Foreign Courts: Full Faith and Credit Given to:--Full faith and credit shall be given in all the Courts of this State to a decree of annulment of marriage or divorce by a court of competent jurisdiction in another State, territory, or possession of the United States. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to limit the power of any Court of this State to give such effect to a decree of annulment or divorce by a court of a foreign country as may be justified by the rules of international comity.
