CHAPTER 328 - SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE STATE TREASURER TO PURCHASE CERTAIN KENT COUNTY STATE AID ROAD BONDS ISSUED BY THE LEVY COURT OF KENT COUNTY AND MATURING DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1945, AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION THEREFOR.

WHEREAS, through inadvertence the authorization for the payment of Class T Kent County State Aid Road Bonds in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) maturing during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1945, and issued pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 23 of Volume 31, Laws of Delaware, was not included in Chapter 22 of Volume 44, Laws of Delaware, approved March 2, 1943; and

WHEREAS, said Bonds have now matured and have been presented for payment at the Farmers Bank of the State of Delaware at Dover, Delaware; and

WHEREAS, in order to carry out the policy of the State in this regard it is necessary that the State Treasurer be authorized to purchase the said Bonds which have matured as aforesaid;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives thereof concurring therein:

That the State Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to purchase at par Class T Kent County State Aid Road Bonds in the principal amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) which have matured during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1945, and which were issued pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 23, Volume 31, Laws of Delaware. The State Treasurer shall purchase said bonds in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 22, Volume 44, Laws of Delaware.

There is hereby appropriated, authorized and directed to be paid out of the State Treasury the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Resolution.

This Resolution shall be considered in the nature of a Supplementary Appropriation Bill and the funds hereby appropriated shall be paid out of any funds in the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
