CHAPTER 334 - SENATE CONCURRENT RESOULTION
IN RESPECT TO THE DELAWARE RIVER CROSSING
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the One Hundred and Tenth General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein:
That any crossing of the Delaware River constructed by or under the authority of the State Highway Department of the State of Delaware pursuant to any legislation passed by the 110th General Assembly of the State of Delaware shall be named "The Delaware Memorial Bridge", and shall be dedicated to those men and women of the State of Delaware and of the State of New Jersey who have given their lives in the armed forces of the United States of America in the war now being waged against Germany and Japan and other powers; and that the State Highway Department be and it hereby is authorized and directed to erect a suitable plaque on the said crossing in memory of those men and women of the States of Delaware and New Jersey who have laid down their lives in defense of our liberties.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the State Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay the necessary costs and expenses for the erection of such a plaque out of monies of the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, upon vouchers signed by the Chairman of the State Highway Commission.
