CHAPTER 124

CONSTABLES

AN ACT to amend Chapter 51 of the Revised Code of the State of Delaware by providing for a Constable to reside in the Town of Rehoboth, in the County of Sussex.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That Chapter 51 of the Revised Code be amended by adding thereto a new Section, to be known and numbered as 1400 B, Sec. 4 B.

1400 B. Sec. 4 B. The Levy Court of Sussex County shall on the first Tuesday in March, in each and every year, appoint from the qualified voters resident in the Tenth Representative District of Sussex County, a suitable person to be constable for the said District for the year in which he shall be appointed.

The said Constable shall reside in the town of Rehoboth, in the County of Sussex, and shall have all the power and authority, and shall be subject to all the requirements, qualifications and duties imposed or obligated by the law upon constables in and for Sussex County aforesaid.
