CHAPTER 167.

RELIGIOUS SOCIETIES.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 68 of the Revised Code of the State of Delaware in relation to property of religious corporations or societies.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That 2174, Section 11, of Chapter 68, of the Revised Code of the State of Delaware be and the same is hereby amended by striking out all of said section and by inserting in lieu thereof the following, to be known as 2174, Sec. 11:

2174, Sec. 11. GIFTS OR GRANTS TO; HOW MADE:-Every such corporation may take and hold by gift, devise, will, deed or lease, real-estate or monies, securities or other things of value, to be laid out in real-estate, and personal property of all kinds, and may alien, mortgage or otherwise encumber and dispose of the same at pleasure, unless restricted by the provisions of such gift, devise, will, deed or lease.
