CHAPTER 242
OF DENTISTRY.
AN ACT TO REGULATE THE PRACTICE OF DENTISTRY, BEING AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER 496, VOLUME 17, LAWS OF DELAWARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of' Chapter 496, Volume 17, Laws of Delaware, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out of said section the words or shall hold a diploma from a reputable Dental College, and so decided by the Board herein created."
SECTION 2. That Section 3 of said Act be and the same is hereby amended by inserting in said section after the sentence shall fix the time and place of its meeting or meetings," the following: " It shall hold regular meetings for the examination of applicants for certificates to practice at least once every three months. It shall have the power to frame by-laws governing its procedure and making a reasonable charge, not exceeding ten dollars, for the examination of each applicant."
SECTION 3. That Section 5 of said Act be and the same is hereby amended by adding to said section the following : " It shall not be lawful for any person or persons to engage in the practice of dentistry without first having received a certificate from the said Board, as herein provided, nor shall it be lawful for be qualified, any person or persons, with or without such certificate, to allow to practice in his, her or their office, or in his, her or their name or names, any person or persons who are not duly qualified according to the provisions of this Act."
SECTION 4. That Section 7 of this Act be and the same is hereby repealed, and that there shall be substituted in lieu thereof the following: " It shall be the duty of the Board to investigate any charges of a violation of any of the provisions of this Act which may be brought to its attention, and to report the result of such investigation to the Attorney General of the State.
