CHAPTER 49
General Provisions.
AN ACT REQUIRING ALL STATE OFFICIALS TO MAKE MONTHLY FINANCIAL SETTLEMENTS WITH THE STATE TREASURER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That from and after the passage of this Act all officials receiving for the use of the State any moneys that should by law be turned over to the State Treasurer, shall make settlements with the State Treasurer of all such moneys received by them on or before the second Tuesday of each and every calendar month, including in such settlements all the moneys received by them during the next preceding calendar month.
Section 2. This Act shall not prevent a settlement with the oftener State Treasurer oftener than the times mentioned in Section of this Act, if by existing law any official is required to settle oftener than once a month, nor shall it prevent more frequent settlements when any official of the State desires to settle with the State Treasurer oftener than once in every calendar month.
Section 3. Clerks of the Peace and other County officials collecting State moneys shall be considered as State officials within the provisions of this Act.
