AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO STUDENT DISCIPLINE REFERRALS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend Chapter 16, Title 14 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§1608. Referral to mental or behavioral health specialist.
After a student’s second unduplicated infraction resulting in an out-of-school suspension, in a semester, the student must be referred to a school-based mental or behavioral health specialist.
