AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 24 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE MEDICAL PRACTICE ACT
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend §1779, Title 24 of the Delaware Code, by making insertions as shown by underlining and deletions as shown by strikethrough as follows:
(d) Notwithstanding the provisions of 24 Del.C. § 1779(a), a respiratory therapist having a current license issued in another state or the District of Columbia may provide respiratory care within their scope of practice in connection with the interstate transport of a patient without obtaining a license to practice respiratory care in this State. This exemption is limited to the immediate transport need.
