CHAPTER 191

AN ACT to prevent the aiding or harboring of girls escaping from The Delaware Industrial School for Girls.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

SECTION 1. That if any person shall knowingly advise, promote or aid in the escape or running away of any girl from the guardianship or custody of the managers of The Delaware Industrial School for Girls, or shall knowingly harbor or conceal, or aid in harboring or concealing, any girl who has escaped from the guardianship or custody of the said managers after such girl has been regularly committed thereto, every such person shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, on conviction thereof before any justice of the peace in the county wherein the said offence has been committed or before the municipal judge of the city of Wilmington, be fined not less than ten or more than one hundred dollars, to be paid to the treasurer of the said school for the use thereof.
