AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO POSTING INFORMATION RELATED TO CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT IN SCHOOLS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend Chapter 41, Title 14 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 4123B. Posting child abuse and neglect telephone report line.
(a) Each public school, including charter schools, shall post, in a conspicuous location where notices to students are customarily posted, the number for the toll-free telephone report line for child abuse and neglect as established pursuant to § 905 of Title 16. The posting shall be made in English and Spanish and shall be made in a format and language that is clear, simple, and understandable to students.
(b) There is no private right of action for violation of this section.
Section 2. This Act shall take effect 60 days after its enactment into law.
