AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 44 AND CHAPTER 63, TITLE 9, DELAWARE CODE, AND CHAPTER 83, TITLE 16, DELAWARE CODE, PROVIDING ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. Amend §4402, Chapter 44, Title 9, Delaware Code, by adding thereto a new subsection to be designated as subsection (c) to read as follows:
"(c) No such permit shall be issued to a non-resident person engaging in business as a contractor as defined in Chapter 25, Title 30, Delaware Code, in Kent County until the Board is satisfied that the provisions of §2502(b), Title 30, Delaware Code, have been complied with to the extent such provisions are applicable."
Section 2. Amend §6302, Chapter 63, Title 9, Delaware Code, by adding thereto a new subsection to be designated as subsection (e) to read as follows:
"(e) No such permit shall be issued to a non-resident person engaging in business as a contractor as defined in Chapter 25, Title 30, Delaware Code, in Sussex County until the Department of Finance is satisfied that the provisions of §2502(b), Title 30, Delaware Code, have been complied with io the extend such provisions are applicable."
Section 3. Amend §8311, Chapter 83, Title 16, Delaware Code, by adding thereto a new subsection to be designated as subsection (d) to read as follows:
"(d) No building or construction permit shall be issued pursuant to this Chapter to a non-resident person engaging in business as a contractor in New Castle County until the Building Inspector is satisfied that the provisions of §2502 (b), Title 30, Delaware Code, have been complied with to the extent such provisions are applicable."
Section 4. The provisions of this Act shall take effect as of September 1, 1975.
