AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO EMERGENCY HOUSING SHELTERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend Chapter 79 of Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 7951 Definitions.
(b) "Emergency housing shelter" means any facility refers to a temporary housing intervention for a period of 90 days or less operated by a qualified organization that provides short-term housing which provides food, sleeping quarters and counseling supportsupportive services that address the needs of persons experiencing homelessness for adults and children who find themselves temporarily without a form of shelter from the elements. The shelter must be a facility which meets all local building codes. , and each person's stay in the shelter is not to exceed a period of 30 days.
