AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 30 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO ASSESSMENTS OF INTEREST AND PENALTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE (Three-fifths of all members elected to each house thereof concurring therein):
Section 1. Amend § 533(a), Title 30 of the Delaware Code by striking the number and symbol “1%” and substituting in lieu thereof the number and symbol “0.5%”.
Section 2. Amend § 533(g), Title 30 of the Delaware Code by striking the number and symbol “1%” and substituting in lieu thereof the number and symbol “0.5%”.
Section 3. Amend § 534(b), Title 30 of the Delaware Code by striking the number and symbol “0.5%” wherever it appears and substituting in lieu thereof the number and symbol “1%”.
Section 4. Amend § 540(a), Title 30 of the Delaware Code by striking the number and symbol “1%” and substituting in lieu thereof the number and symbol “0.5%”.
Section 5. Amend § 535(d), Title 30 of the Delaware Code by striking the number and symbol “0.5%” and substituting in lieu thereof the number and symbol “1%”.
Section 6. This Bill shall be effective for tax periods beginning on or after January 1, 2007.
