AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 5, TITLE 11, DELAWARE CODE, RELATING TO LICENSES FOR THE CARRYING OF CONCEALED DEADLY WEAPONS.
WHEREAS, the cost of printing the three-part licenses by the State has skyrocketed in recent years; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the paper work and expedition of the many forms, records, and investigation has also risen drastically, resulting in a loss to the Prothonotary's office; and
WHEREAS, the actual cost involved in the processing of these licenses and applications is in excess of $6.00 each.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. Amend §1441 (a) (4), Chapter 5, Title 11, Delaware Code, by striking the figure "$1" as the same appears therein in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the figure "$17.00".
Section 2. Amend §1441 (a) (5), Chapter 5, Title 11, Delaware Code by inserting after the word "fee" and before the comma and word ", and" as the same appear in the first sentence thereof, the word and figure "of $7 .00" .
Section 3. Amend §1441(f), Chapter 5, Title 11, Delaware Code by striking the figure "$2" as the same appears therein in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the figure "$3.00".
