AN ACT PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE V, § 2 OF THE DELAWARE CONSTITUTION OF 1897, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO REFERENCES TO PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS AND PAUPERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE (Two-thirds of all members elected to each house thereof concurring therein):
Section 1. Amend § 2, Article V of the Delaware Constitution of 1897, as amended, by deleting the words “idiot or insane person, pauper,” as the same appear therein and by substituting in lieu thereof the words “person adjudged mentally incompetent”.
