HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1
AN ACT TO AMEND SUBCHAPTER I OF CHAPTER 27, TITLE 21, DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION OF DRIVER'S LICENSE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. Amend section 2702, Chapter 27, Title 21, Delaware Code, by striking said section in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following new section.
§ 2702. Driver's license classification
(a) The Division upon issuing a driver's license shall indicate thereon, in a manner prescribed by the Division, the type or general class of vehicles the licensee may drive.
(b) The Division shall establish such qualifications as it believes reasonably necessary for the safe operation of the various types, sizes or combinations of vehicles and shall appropriately examine such applicant according to the type or general class of license applied for.
Section 2. This Act shall become effective January 1, 1973. Approved July 5, 1972.
