CHAPTER 75 - SALARIES OF STATE OFFICERS AUDITOR OF ACCOUNTS INCREASING SALARY OF DEPUTY
AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 16 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "AUDITOR OF ACCOUNTS", BY INCREASING THE SALARY OF THE DEPUTY APPOINTED BY THE AUDITOR OF ACCOUNTS AND MAKING APPROPRIATION THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That Chapter 16 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, as amended, be further amended by striking out and repealing 422. Sec. 11. thereof, and enacting in lieu thereof a new 422. Sec. 11., as follows:
422. Sec. 11. Deputy; Salary; Powers of:--The Auditor of Accounts is hereby authorized and empowered to appoint a Deputy at an annual salary of Thirty-six Hundred Dollars to be paid in monthly installments. Said Deputy shall take the Oath of Office and shall have power to act in the absence or disability of the Auditor of Accounts when so designated by that official, and may at all times countersign checks and drafts in the name of the Auditor of Accounts if so authorized by the Auditor of Accounts; but he shall at all times be removable by the Auditor of Accounts.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1800.00) for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1945, and the sum of Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1800.00) for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1946 to provide the increase in salary of said Deputy, said annual sum to be paid to said Deputy in equal monthly installments.
Section 3. This Act, insofar as it provides an appropriation of moneys, shall be known as a Supplementary Appropriation Act and the moneys hereby appropriated shall be paid out of the General Fund of the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
