AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SCHOOL BOARDS OF REORGANIZED SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
This Act revises the standards used by the Commissioner of elections for sequencing school board elections in the Brandywine School District, the Christina School District, the Colonial School District, and the Red Clay Consolidated School District to clarify that the Commissioner must sequence such school board elections so that the seat for the school board member who will represent a newly drawn school board election district (the nominating district) is elected in the year that the term of office of the incumbant, whose constitutent population before redistricting most closely resembles the population of the newly drawn district, expires.
