AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 202, VOLUME 73, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO REINCORPORATE THE TOWN OF OCEAN VIEW" RELATING TO ANNEXATION.
The proposed amendment to the Ocean View Charter changes the method by which the Town Council may annex contiguous territory into its corporate limits. The amendment includes the authority to annex five (5) acres or less without referendum and to annex more than five (5) acres by ordinance subject to a petition for referendum by one-third the registered voters.
