SA 1 to SS 1 for SB 167PassedLockmanThis amendment allows Delaware State Housing Authority to adopt rules prescribing eligible time periods for reimbursement, minimum claim amounts, and additional claim types that are eligible for reimbursement. This amendment also removes a reference to federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Further, this amendment allows Delaware State Housing Authority to use up to 15 percent of the funds deposited into the Landlord Mitigation Fund to cover the cost of administering the fund.  
HA 1 to HB 279PassedBushThis Amendment deletes references to regulations and provides the Department of Health and Social Services with authority to determine if regulations should be adopted to implement and enforce the Act’s provisions. The Amendment also clarifies that the Act takes effect on January 1, 2023.  
HA 1 to HB 311StrickenGriffithThis Amendment revises the length of time to file a complaint under the Delaware Equal Accommodations Law so that instead of extending the deadline from the current 90 days to 1 year, a complaint must be filed no more than 180 days after the occurrence of the alleged discriminatory practice. The 180 day time limit is consistent with the time frames under federal law for filing administrative complaints based on discrimination with the Office of of Civil Rights in both the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Education. Maryland and New Jersey also provide 180 days to file a complaint under the state equal accommodations law.
