SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE GOVERNOR'S COUNCIL ON VOLUNTEER SERVICES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
Section 1. Amend § 7914A, Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by striking in its entirety the phrase “Governor’s Council on Volunteer Services” in the heading thereof and wherever else it appears therein and by substituting in lieu therein the phrase “The Governor’s Commission on Community and Volunteer Services”.
Section 2. Amend § 7914A, Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by striking the phrase “Governor’s Council on Volunteer Services” wherever it appears in subsections (a) and (b) thereof and by substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “Governor’s Commission on Community and Volunteer Services”.
Section 3. Amend § 7914A(a), Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by inserting immediately after the first sentence thereof the following new sentence: “The Governor’s Commission on Community and Volunteer Service merges the functions and representation of the Governor’s Council on Volunteer Services with the Delaware Community Service Commission.”.
Section 4. Amend § 7914A(b), Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by striking the phrase “17 members” as it appears in the first clause thereof and by substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “15-25 voting members.”
Section 5. Amend § 7914A(b)(1), Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by striking the number “5” as it appears therein.
Section 6. Amend § 7914A(b)(2), Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by striking the word “Twelve” as it appears as the first word thereof and by substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “Up to 22”.
Section 7. Amend § 7914A(c), Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by inserting the phrase “in accordance with 42 USC 12501 of the federal code” immediately before the period at the end of the first sentence thereof.
Section 8. Amend § 7914A(c), Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by striking the phrase “all terms shall be for 2 years” wherever it appears therein and by substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “all terms shall be for 3 years”.
Section 9. Amend §7914A of Title 29 of the Delaware Code by replacing “Council” with “Commission” throughout paragraphs (c), (d), (e) and (f).
