AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF STATE VEHICLES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
Section 1. Amend Title 29, Section 7002(b) of the Delaware Code by inserting the following after the phrase “fair market value, as determined by the Division.”:
“Vehicles not purchased by agencies may be made available, at fair market value as determined by the Division, to any private organization that is exempt from taxation under §501(c) of the Federal Internal Revenue Code and whose headquarters is in the State of Delaware. Requests for vehicles by eligible private, non-profit organizations, as defined herein, shall be submitted in writing to the Division of Support Services.”
Section 2. Amend Title 29, §7002(c) of the Delaware Code by inserting the words “and in the case of vehicles, private, non-profit organizations, as defined in subsection (b)” between the phrases “volunteer fire departments” and “request such material”.
