HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1
AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14, DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SCHOOL ELECTIONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
Section 1. Amend § 1072(a), Chapter 10, Title 14, Delaware Code by striking the phrase “12:00 noon and 9:00 p.m.” and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.”.
Section 2. Amend § 1072(c), Chapter 10, Title 14, Delaware Code by striking the phrase:
“either the second Tuesday or second Saturday of May at the discretion of each reorganized school district Board of Education”
and substituting in lieu thereof the phrase “the second Tuesday of May”.
Section 3. Amend § 1072, Chapter 10, Title 14, Delaware Code by adding a new subsection to read as follows:
“(e) All school districts are requested to consider scheduling an in-service day for the second Tuesday in May.”.
