AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AND APPROVE THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM THE SEAFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT TO MRS. HELEN J. GROVES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
WHEREAS, the property identified as Sussex County Tax Map No. 5-31 6.00 17.00 has been under the care of Mrs. Helen J. Groves since 1973; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned property has no value to the Seaford School District; and
WHEREAS, the Seaford Board of Education has agreed to dispose of and convey the subject property to Mrs. Helen J. Groves.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary, including the requirements of §1057, Title 14 of the Delaware Code, and given the agreement of the State Department of Education, State Department of Administrative Services, Seaford School District, and Seaford Board of Education, the transfer and conveyance of Sussex County Tax Map No. 5-31 6.00 17.00 from Seaford School District to Mrs. Helen J. Groves is hereby specifically approved.
The Property is more specifically described as follows:.
“All that certain piece or lot of land lying and being situated in Seaford Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware, and lying on the north side of Briarhook Road and the intersection of Road 557 (Briarhook Road) and Road 553A. Bound and described as follows:
‘Beginning on the northerly right of aforesaid highway, and corner for the other land of these Grantees, thence with said Grantees land, 53’ x 105’. Thereon and being all of the land conveyed to Blocksom School.’”.
Section 2. The State of Delaware and/or the Seaford School District is hereby authorized and empowered to execute and deliver to Mrs. Helen J. Groves a good and sufficient deed to the said real property.
