CHAPTER 302
NEW CASTLE COUNTY FEES TO BE CHARGED BY SHERIFF
AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 156 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE SHERIFF IN NEW CASTLE COUNTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That Section 3, Chapter 156, of the Revised Code of the State of Delaware, as amended, being Code Section 5346, be amended by striking out as much of said Section as reads:
"Serving and returning subpoena to give evidence or to bring papers for each person summoned both in civil or criminal actions for the first $.50"
and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"Serving and returning subpoena to give evidence or to bring papers for each person summoned both in civil or criminal actions for the first $1.50"
Section 2. That Section 3, Chapter 156, of the Revised Code of the State of Delaware, as amended, being Code Section 5346, be amended by striking out as much of said Section as reads:
"Levying an execution on goods and chattels, and making inventory, causing appraisement, and making return if the sum due upon the execution shall
not exceed $400.00 $3.00
If the sum due shall exceed $400.00 $4.00
On all sums over $500.00 5.00"
and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"Levying an execution on goods and chattels, and making inventory, causing appraisement, and making return $6.00"
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in which it is approved by the Governor or otherwise enacted into law.
