CHAPTER 215
GENERAL PROVISIONS RESPECTING THE POLICE INSIGNIA OF CERTAIN ORGANIZATIONS
AN ACT to Amend Chapter 100 of the Revised Code of the Laws of Delaware, in relation to the Insignia of Certain Organizations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
That Chapter 100 of the Revised Code of the State of Delaware be and the same is hereby amended by repealing 3475, Sec. 40 of said Chapter and substituting in lieu thereof a new Section as follows:
3475, Sec. 40. INSIGNIA OF G. A. R., U. V. L., OR UNITED SPANISH WAR VETERANS PROTECTED; VIOLATION A MISDEMEANOR; PENALTY: It shall be unlawful for any person, not a member of the Grand Army of the Republic or of the Union Veteran Legion or of the United Spanish War Veterans within this State, to wear, use or display any badge, button, or other insignia of any of the said Orders, with intent to make it appear that he is a member of any of the said Orders, or entitled to any of the benefits or advantages resulting from membership therein; and any person violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof by indictment shall be subject to a fine not Penalty exceeding twenty dollars for every such offense.
