FREE SCHOOLS

AN ACT.to amend an Act entitled "An Act to Provide for the Establishment and Maintenance of a General and Efficient System of Free Public Schools," the same being Chapter 160, Volume 32, Laws of Delaware, approved May 17, 1921, as amended.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That the Act entitled "An Act to Provide for the Establishment and Maintenance of a General and Efficient System of Free Public Schools," the same being Chapter 160, Volume 32, Laws of Delaware, approved May 17, 1921, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended as follows:

By adding at the end of Section 51 of said Act as said section was heretofore amended by the Act entitled "An Act to Amend an Act entitled 'An Act to Provide for the Establishment and Maintenance of a General and Efficient System of Free Public Schools'," approved March 31, 1921, being Chapter 176, Volume 33, Laws of Delaware, the following:

"Any funds received by the State Board of Education from any Insurance Company by reason of the loss of school property insured in said Company shall be paid to the Treasurer of the State Board of Education and by him kept in a special fund. The said special fund shall be used by the State Board of Education to pay so far as possible or necessary, for the repair or rebuilding of the building upon which the loss was sustained. Any moneys remaining in the said fund after carrying out the provisions of this Section shall be paid into the special fund for building or rebuilding schools."
