CHAPTER 130.
OF CONVEYANCES.
AN ACT in relation to the recording of Deeds and Mortgages.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
SECTION 1. The recorder in and for each and every county of this State may demand and require the payment of the fees for recording any deed, mortgage or other instrument of writing brought to his office for record as soon as he shall, have noted the date of reception on such deed, mortgage or other instrument of writing.
Section 2. Any recorder who has demanded and received the fees as allowed by this act, in every such case, it shall be his duty, and he is hereby required, under a penalty in each case of five dollars, to have such deed, mortgage or other instrument of writing transcribed on the proper book in his office within thirty days of the date of reception so as above noted.
